1. Your local pharmacy.

By far, the easiest way to get your travel vaccines is to visit your local pharmacy. There are a few things to check though before you go. Do they have what you are looking for? A lot of pharmacies do or they can order it. Yellow fever is the exception to that rule (read more here). Do they have restrictions? Some pharmacies have age restrictions based on the vaccine (such as only people under 65 for yellow fever) or based on policy for all vaccines (such as only down to age 3). It may be worth a phone call to find out. Do you need a prescription? Some places you can simply make an appointment online and get it, others you need a prescription. 2. Travel Clinic

There are a variety of travel clinics in Washington state that provide consults to determine what you need and also provide travel vaccines. Most of these places will require an appointment first. Then once you have the appointment, you get the vaccines. Depending on the place, sometimes you can get it the same day, sometimes you need to make another appointment for the vaccines. Costs vary widely here because there is the cost for the consult as well as the vaccines. And some places you have to get the vaccines from them, they will not send a prescription elsewhere. 3. Doctor’s Office

You may be thinking, I will just go to my doctor’s office and get these shots. These days, most offices do not carry these vaccines. Some medical groups, like Kaiser, have a specialty travel health service that you go thru the same process as the travel clinic. So it may be the same family of clinics but it won’t necessarily be your usual doctor’s office.
